Islam entreats all true Muslims to be kind and show affection for the Orphan. Indeed, the Ghana Academy of Muslim Professionals  (GAMP) has been supportive of orphans since its inception.

In 2008, the Executive Council decided that the GAMP support for Orphans must be made a formal project. The Project began with the daughter of the late watchman of the office of the Academy at Nima, Aisha.

Under the Orphans Support Project (OSP), the GAMP pays the school fees, provides stipend and buys other teaching and learning materials for the beneficiaries.

The objective of the orphans’ project is designed to achieve the following:

• To support the education of identified Orphans.
• To assist in the daily subsistence of identified Orphans.
• To help in the religious and moral upbringing of identified Orphans.
