PROFILE

Adam Yunus is a Researcher and Lecturer with extensive experience in social development, policy-making, political structuring, and education development. He is the Head of Research at the Baraka Policy Institute and holds a PhD in Social Policy Studies, an MA in Development Studies, and a BA in Political Science with a study of Religions. He also has a Certificate in Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E).

Adam's research interests focus on the nexus between political arrangements and the policy process, with a particular emphasis on education development issues. He is also passionate about advocacy and exploring effective means for delivering social protection for the less privileged groups in society. Adam has been teaching since 2001 and specializes in areas such as Development Studies, Social/Public Policy Studies, Educational Development/Studies, Public Sector Management, Politics/Political Systems, Religion and African Studies, Culture and Development, and other related areas.

Adam has published several articles on various topics, including "The Political Dynamics in the Adoption and Implementation of the Free SHS Policy in Ghana," "Addressing the Harm Sports Betting is Causing to the Ghanaian Youth," and "Achieving Equitable and Quality Secondary Education through Partnerships." He has also presented at conferences and seminars on topics such as "Effective Public-Private Partnerships in Secondary Education Delivery" and "The State of Underprivileged and Minority Enrolments in Public Universities in Ghana."

Adam has also delivered public lectures on issues such as "Addressing Challenges Confronting Marriages in Ghana" and "Towards a Peaceful 2012 Elections in Ghana, the Role of the Ghanaian Youth." Overall, Adam Yunus is a well-rounded researcher and lecturer with extensive knowledge and expertise in various fields, making him a valuable asset to the Baraka Policy Institute and the academic community at large.
